چکیده
To identify the spatiotemporal coherent structure of compressor tip leakage flow, spectral proper orthogonal decomposition (SPOD) is performed on near-tip flow field and blade surface pressure a low-speed rotor. The data used for SPOD analysis are obtained by delayed-detached eddy simulation, which validated against experimental data. investigated rotor governed two vortices (TLV), passage can be divided into four zones: formation main TLV (Zone I), breakdown II), blockage cell III), secondary IV). Modal from shows that major part total disturbance energy comes oscillating mode in Zone I vortex shedding III, both low-frequency low-rank; contrary, modal components Zones II IV broadband non-low-rank. Unsteady forces mainly generated impingement rather than detachment suction IV. These identified structures provide valuable knowledge aerodynamic/aeroelastic effects, turbulence modeling, reduced-order modeling flow.

Effects of Different Turbulence Models in Simulation of Unsteady Tip Leakage Flow in Axial Compressor Rotor Blades Row
Characteristics of rotor blade tip clearance flow in axial compressors can significantly affect their performance and stable operation. It may also increase blade vibrations and cause detrimental noises. Therefore, this paper is contributed to investigate tip leakage flow in a low speed isolated axial compressor rotor blades row. Simulations are carried out on near-stall condition, which is val...

متن کاملModeling of transitional channel flow using balanced proper orthogonal decomposition
We study reduced-order models of three-dimensional perturbations in linearized channel flow using balanced proper orthogonal decomposition BPOD . The models are obtained from three-dimensional simulations in physical space as opposed to the traditional single-wavenumber approach, and are therefore better able to capture the effects of localized disturbances or localized actuators. In order to a...
متن کاملAspects of Two-Phase Flow Screw Compressor Modelling Part I: Leakage Flow and Rotor Tip Friction
A one-dimensional leakage flow model for two-phase ammonia-water twin screw compressors is presented. The model takes into account viscous and acceleration forces and is based on three conservation equations and on the equation of state for homogenous NHiH20 mixture. The governing equations are solved with a finite difference method. Numerical shooting is used to find such inlet flow velocity a...
متن کاملTrust-region Proper Orthogonal Decomposition for Flow Control
The proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) is a model reduction technique for the simulation of physical processes governed by partial differential equations, e.g. fluid flows. It can also be used to develop reduced order control models. Fundamental is the computation of POD basis functions that represent the influence of the control action on the system in order to get a suitable control model....
